How to order Lab Gas
- Navigate to the NC State MarketPlace ‘Create Requisition’ page: MarketPlace > Create Requisition > Compressed Gases
- Visit the Arc3 or Airgas catalog
- Use the search function to find compressed and liquid gases
- For more guidance, contact the supplier by navigating to the Supplier Contact list and search for Airgas or Arc3.
How to order Ethyl Alcohol
- Navigate to the NC State MarketPlace ‘Create Requisition’ page: MarketPlace > Create Requisition >Compressed Gases
- Ethyl Alcohol can be purchased from Fisher, Sigma, and VWR. Suppliers will require the ship to address to be current on our University Alcohol Permit. If the supplier requests an updated Alcohol Permit, please email help@ncsu.edu.
How to order Dry Ice
- Navigate to the NC State MarketPlace ‘Create Requisition’ page: MarketPlace > Create Requisition > Compressed Gases
- Visit the Airgas catalog
- Use the search function to find these item numbers:

How to order Toxic Gas
- Navigate to the NC State MarketPlace ‘Create Requisition’ page: MarketPlace > Create Requisition > Compressed Gases
- Click on the Custom Gas Solutions link
- Enter your Unity ID and password after clicking the link:
- Most of the form will auto‐populate with your information. Fill in the remaining fields. The Project ID field will automatically check to see if the project ID entered is valid and then will populate the department associated with that project :
- Once the form is complete, click the submit button. Your request will be sent to Custom Gas Solutions and Procurement Services. You will also receive a copy of the request. Custom Gas Solutions will contact you
- For more guidance, contact the supplier by navigating to the Supplier Contact list and search for Custom Gas Solutions.
