WolfPrint is NC State’s official personal printing service, available to anyone with a valid Unity ID and an active WolfPack One card. There are three Supported Print Methods and nearly 100 printers conveniently located across campus. To find a printer near you, visit go.ncsu.edu/printers.
Method 1: Unity Computer Lab
The first method allows faculty and staff to print from the desktop devices available in the public computer labs to any of the WolfPrint FollowMe printers without the need to use their personal device.
Method 2: Web Print
The Web Print tool allows users to print from their device, on campus or off campus, without the need to install any additional software. With this solution, only one-sided PDF files can be printed. To print, simply log into WolfPrint, select your printer, upload your job and then visit the location selected within 12 hours to release your job.
Method 3: Mobility Print
The Mobility Print tool allows printing from your device, on campus or off campus, using any software application without limitations. To use this functionality, perform the one-time step to add the printer to your device while on the NC State network (Eduroam, NC State Wi-Fi or the VPN if you are remote). Submit your print job as usual, selecting the appropriate queue, and remember to confirm your job within 10 minutes to avoid losing it in the queue. Lastly, visit the site location selected within 12 hours to release your job.
When visiting the site to pick up the print job, users can scan the QR code using the camera functionality of their smartphone to release the print job – touch-free. Alternatively, users can release their print jobs by swiping their all-campus card or entering their unity credentials manually.
