The MarketPlace Team, part of Procurement & Business Services (PB&S), recently concluded planning, organizing and delivering the 12th Annual MarketPlace Expo,
This annual event typically takes place in November. The team worked with PB&S colleagues and MarketPlace suppliers throughout the year to put together a platform that encouraged campus engagement and participation.
The Team
This year’s MarketPlace Expo committee included the following team members:

- Blain Woods: Program and Staff Volunteer’s Organizer
- Maria Fister: Virtual Event Designer and Photographer
On the day of the event, PB&S staff members assisted by taking shifts to help coordinate the day’s events. A special thanks to Hays Poole, Brenda Byers Banks, Joel Bristol, Kristen Shelton, Rhonda Barnes, Megan Catt, Kathryn Livesay, Amy Mears and Dianne Coxson.

This year, there was a local food truck, Oak City Fish & Chips, that served lunch to the campus customers who attended the Expo. We anticipated feeding 330 people and the offer of free lunch had customers coming out in large numbers.
This annual event supports campus customers and highlights the most efficient way to purchase supplies for everyday use. It also allows them to meet their supplier reps face-to-face to discuss other possible procurement needs.
