The Material Support Warehouse is a busy hub for the university. One recent activity was the renovation of the facility to include a new electronics Restore.
Words do not do justice to the makeover that occurred. RhondaBarnes, Interior Designer and Josh Arnold, Facilities Maintenance Coordinator did an outstanding job with the new design/layout and keeping the project on track. The front lobby/conference room converted into a first class electronics Restore. Take a look at some of the photos of the renovation.
This space was designed for the faculty and staff, state agencies, and qualified 501 (c) (3)’s to have first pick of available merchandise. Twice a month it will be open to the public.
What can you expect from the NC State Restore and the merchandise found there? Computers, printers, monitors, projectors, and peripheral items such as keyboards and mice are regular stock. Tanner Morris, Material Process Coordinator, tests all the electronics for functionality. He generates labels with pertinent information such as processor, ram, and hard drive size. Other items such as monitors and projectors are tested. He reviews and rates the monitors for picture clarity and proper color distribution. The projectors are checked for functionality and bulb life remaining. At the Restore, you will also find hard drives and ram available for sale. The new NC State Restore is the best value on campus for office electronics.
The Restore space is set for your convenience to check the items, to “kick the tires” and find the best option for your needs.
