The Benefits of Creating a Global Access Card Account

Global Card Access (GCA) is a Bank of America banking application for university PCards. While the University PCard Center is your primary resource for managing your PCard, the Card Services team recommends that every cardholder register their PCard for a GCA account.

Global Card Access provides self- service tools that the Card Services team cannot assist with.  This tool set includes:

  • Retrieving a forgotten PIN: Card Services does not have access to your PIN for security reasons. If you forget your PIN, GCA is the only secure way to retrieve your PIN.
  • Reviewing pending transactions: Transactions will appear in GCA in real time when they are authorized and sooner than posted transactions will appear in your PCard Center.
  • Using one-time passcodes: Some merchants use 3D Secure (3DS) verification for online purchases, which requires a one-time passcode. The passcode will be sent to the contact information registered in your GCA profile. Without this, the transaction may be declined.

To register your account for GCA, have your PCard present to enter the required information, and remember to enter the Verification ID: 122819771. We also recommend using your official NC State email address as your GCA contact information. Registering your account ensures you have 24/7 oversight of PCard activity and security.
